Job Description

Our partner is seeking a Country Manager to lead our expansion in the Japanese iGaming market. This role focuses on developing and executing a tailored market strategy, driving business growth, and localising our crypto casino and sports betting products for Japanese players.
 
Key Responsibilities: Country Manager | Japan
 
Market Strategy Development:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive market strategy tailored to the Japanese iGaming market, focusing on both short-term and long-term growth objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, sponsorships, and other market entry strategies.

Product Localization & Management:
  • Oversee the adaptation of our Crypto Casino and sports-betting products to meet the specific needs and preferences of Japanese players.
  • Ensure all aspects of the product, including user interfaces, customer support, and promotions, are fully localised to enhance user experience.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to incorporate feedback from the Japanese market into product enhancements and updates.
 
Marketing Strategy & Execution:
  • Develop and lead a targeted marketing strategy to build brand awareness and attract Japanese customers.
  • Manage the creation and execution of marketing campaigns that resonate with local audiences, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of marketing initiatives, making data-driven adjustments to maximize ROI.
 
Affiliate Management & Onboarding:
  • Establish and manage relationships with local affiliates to drive traffic and customer acquisition.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new affiliates, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to promote the brand effectively.
  • Continuously optimize the affiliate program to improve performance and maintain strong, mutually beneficial partnerships.
 
Brand Strategy for the Market:
  • Develop and execute a robust brand strategy that positions the company as a leading iGaming operator in Japan.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all customer touchpoints, from marketing materials to customer service.
 
Crypto Landscape & Payment Operations:
  • Stay informed of the local cryptocurrency landscape, including trends, regulations, and market conditions, to ensure smooth and compliant payment operations.
  • Work closely with payment providers and internal teams to optimize cryptocurrency transaction processes, ensuring reliability and security for users.
  • Stay informed of any regulatory changes and adjust strategies and operations accordingly.
 
Team Leadership & Management:
  • Recruit, lead, and manage a local team to achieve business objectives.
  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure high performance and alignment with company goals.
 
Financial Management & Reporting:
  • Oversee the financial performance of the Japanese market, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Manage the market’s P&L, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth.
 
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Set, monitor, and report on KPIs for the Japanese market, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Utilize data analytics to drive strategic decision-making and optimize overall business performance in Japan.
 
The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced professional with a strong background in iGaming, ideally in the crypto casino and sports betting sectors. They should possess a deep understanding of the Japanese market, with proven expertise in market strategy development, product localization, and targeted marketing. The candidate should have a track record of driving business growth, managing affiliate programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance in the crypto landscape.
