Data Analyst (Insurance)

Role

The role forms part of the Business Applications team. You’ll ensure that critical data is accurate, complete, and maintained to the highest standards. You’ll be at the forefront of shaping and supporting core insurance products while driving the development of business intelligence solutions. Success in this role means leveraging your technical expertise to support business growth, ensuring seamless management of information, and automating processes for maximum efficiency. Responsibilities

• Be the go-to for first-line support & handling system incidents.
• Assist in gathering requirements, setting up, configuring & maintaining insurance products.
• Conduct basic QA for product releases.
• Take ownership of our BI tools, translating business needs into actionable technical specifications.
• Manage updates to basic Java code and ensure proper version control via Git or similar systems.
• Assist with process automation and risk management strategies.
• Generate and troubleshoot reports as needed to support business operations.

Requirements

You're a skilled problem solver with a proactive mindset, a self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively. A good knowledge of data structures and being able to interpret how data flows in the data chain is pivotal

• Education: Advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience: 2-5 years in a similar technical role
• Languages: Fluent in English. Knowledge of French or Spanish will be considered an asset
• Tech Skills: Knowledge of Java, SQL, and Git. Familiarity with BI technologies (like Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
• Basic development skills ideally with a basic level of Java, Python or similar OOP language who can manipulate data and elaborate information outside of the BI tool
