Head of Client Accounting

Our client delivers a unique 360-degree suite of services—corporate, investment, fiduciary, and multi-family office solutions—all under one roof. We are recruiting an experienced Head of Client Accounting to lead the accounting function within a regulated Corporate Services Provider in Malta. This is a senior leadership role responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading a high-performing team, and building strong client relationships.

Your Impact

• Lead and develop the Client Accounting team, ensuring high performance, and professional growth.
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements for a diverse client portfolio.
• Manage client audits and oversee payroll, VAT, and statutory compliance processes.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, GAPSME, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Build trusted client relationships and work closely with Tax, Audit, and Company Secretarial teams.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and support digital transformation initiatives.

What we're looking for

• University degree in Accounting (Bachelor's/Master's), ACCA qualification, or an equivalent professional certification.
• Extensive experience in a senior accounting leadership role within a CSP or professional services environment.
• Proven experience leading and developing accounting teams.
• Strong experience managing client portfolios, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
