Senior Network Engineer

Overview:

Working with our land-based casino team, we are looking for a Senior Network Engineer for their growing technical and engineering team based in the Philly Metro!

Responsibilities

• Oversees the configuration and design of the LAN and WAN networks of the company.
• Maintains both the hardware and software components of both LAN and WAN switches, routers, and other associated equipment.
• Monitors the network for issues and remediates them with operations staff and vendor support
• Evaluates network needs and works with vendors on network related Hardware/Software/Services solutions to present to management for approval
• Responsible for the monitoring of the company networks for any issues that may affect the ability to provide outstanding guest service.
• Responsible for configuring and maintaining any software or hardware solutions used in the monitoring of or remediation of network issues.
• Reports any incidents of network outage or vulnerability to company management.
• Advises company management on remediation of issues and best practices. Recommends additions or modifications to company network security policies.
• Enforces company network security initiatives.
• Reports unauthorized network usage and security problems.
• Ensures that access, including remote access, to the network or its components is granted only to authorized personnel and that access logs are maintained and reviewed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or other approved educational institution preferred.
• 10 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in Network Engineering.
• Network design and redesign experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and configuring advanced routing protocols BGP,OSPF
• Experience with Load balancers Preferred platform F5 load balancers.
• Experience with a SIEM or syslog products to aid in troubleshooting.
• Must have excellent organizational and planning skills, complex problem-solving skills, solid analytical skills, and strong communication skills.
