Senior Operations Manager – Casino & Sportsbook

We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager with proven operational experience in the Portuguese iGaming market, covering both Casino and Sportsbook, who is ready to take the next step in their career and play a strategic role in building an operation from day one.

This is a hybrid role based in Portugal, offering the opportunity to join an exciting start-up from day one. It is ideal for an entrepreneurial, hands-on professional with the ambition to build teams, establish processes, and make a direct impact on the company's growth.

Your Impact

• Lead the entire Casino operation, ensuring an outstanding player experience.
• Oversee the Sportsbook operation and manage relationships with sportsbook providers.
• Work closely with the Executive Team to define the operational and commercial strategy.
• Contribute to the P&L by monitoring key metrics such as GGR, NGR, marketing efficiency, and contribution margin.
• Manage the turnkey platform, third-party suppliers, and product development roadmap.
• Build and lead teams across Marketing, CRM, and Player Support.
• Define acquisition, retention, promotional campaign, and VIP strategies.
• Collaborate with Compliance and other departments to ensure an efficient and fully compliant operation.

What We're Looking For

✔ 5+ years of experience in the iGaming industry, including at least 3 years in an operational management role, with proven hands-on experience in the Portuguese regulated market.

✔ Proven hands-on experience managing Online Casino operations.

✔ Strong understanding of Sportsbook operations, with the ability to manage suppliers, promotions, and performance metrics.

✔ Mandatory experience with turnkey platforms such as Digitain, EveryMatrix, BetConstruct, Soft2Bet, The Mill Adventure, or similar.

✔ Experience analysing commercial and financial KPIs, including GGR, NGR, margins, acquisition, and retention.

✔ A hands-on, results-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.

✔ Excellent leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills.

✔ Fluent Portuguese and professional-level English.

Nice to Have

• Experience working for an operator licensed by the SRIJ.
• Knowledge of platforms such as Digitain, EveryMatrix, BetConstruct, or Soft2Bet.
• Experience working with Sportsbook providers such as Altenar, Kambi, SBTech, or BetConstruct.
• Strong knowledge of CRM, Affiliate Marketing, and player retention strategies.
• Previous involvement in launching an iGaming operator, from licensing through to Go-Live.
